Community Groups

Why Community Groups?

At Oaks Community Church, we believe it’s important we gather together on Sunday mornings to worship and listen to the preaching of God’s word. We also believe Scripture emphasizes the call for God’s people to live in biblical community that extends beyond Sunday mornings – to live as the redeemed, unified body of Christ in ways that declare who God is and what He’s done to our surrounding community. The primary means by which we embrace this call at Oaks is in the context of our community groups.

What do we do?

It’s in these groups that we live out discipleship outcomes with the vision of saturating Collier County with the gospel. While each group may look a little different, we seek to practice the same three things we see the early church practicing in Acts 2:42-47, connecting with God, connecting with one another, and connecting with people outside the church. Each group is led by trained members of Oaks Community Church who facilitate conversation using questions based on that weekend’s sermon.

Get Connected

Seeking to make much of God in the communities He has sovereignly placed us and given us gospel-influence, our groups meet in the homes of our members throughout Collier County. If you’d like to get connected to a group near you, you can pick up a list of our groups at the connection center or fill out this form and we will get you connected.
